I am accordingly to enquire whether you

are prepared to undertake the mission.

3. It is proposed that the terms of

remuneration in respect of the visit should

be as follows :-

(a) First class ocean passages to

and from the Colony will be provided at the

expense of Hong Kong funds.

(b) Your present rate of salary as one

of His Majesty's Inspectors of Schools will

continue to be paid to you during your absence

from this country, which is likely to occupy

a period of three to four months.

(c) Your necessary expenses of subsistence

and travel while in the Colony will be refunded

to you from Hong Kong funds.

(d) You will receive from Hong Kong

funds an honorarium of £100 for your services.
